Flat Bag Gallery
Flat Bag B is made with silks using machine fancy stitches on the crazy paper-pieced block. Seed beads are used to embellish the fancy machine stitches, and bead embroidery stitches are further used to embellish the bag. The adjustable strap is made with sturdy braided rayon cord in olive and beaver brown. The cord end covers for the strap are hand-painted wood, and the instructions for the flower fabric bud used for the closure are included with the pattern.
Flat Bag A is made with silk fabrics. Seed beads are used to embellish the fancy machine embroidery stitches sewn on the paper-pieced design. The adjustable strap is made with sturdy braided rayon cord in black. An antique button, from The Button Lady (www.gibbons-shop.com), is used for the closure. This bag is perfect for a small Kindle.

The bag uses two slip knots that allow the cord straps to be adjustable.
These are the front and back of two clutch style Flat Bags (C) in hand-dyed and commercial silks. The front of the bag is embellished with fancy machine stitches, and an antique button. The buttonhole is a fabric slot or a magnetic snap can be used. The corded handle for the clutch is optional.
