This fabric folding method was used on a bag I saw in Japan, and I just loved the look. The black finely woven bolo cording closes the bag with a coordinating textured slide.

This original size Box Bag with a border is made with washed silk dupioni. The front of the bag is pintucked. Each pintuck is then turned and held in place coconut shell and pearl beads. A braided black bolo cord pulls the bag together with a hand-painted wood slide.
